Free invoice, receipt & quote generators

Professional documents for freelancers and small businesses — made right here in your browser. Other "free" generators make you open an account or stamp their logo on your invoice. This one doesn't: no signup, no watermark, no catch.

And because everything happens on your own device, the names, prices and client details you type are never uploaded anywhere.

Still use paper invoice books?

If you also write invoices by hand — on site, at a market stall, or as a paper backup — these are the paper equivalents of the generators above:

How to make an invoice here

  1. Add your business and client details — name, address and contact line. Tip: tick "Save my business details" and your own details will be filled in automatically next time you visit — they stay on this device only.
  2. Add your items — one row per job, product or hour. Totals update as you type.
  3. Add tax or a discount if you need them — tax is worked out after the discount, the way most invoices do it.
  4. Print or save as PDF — then email the file to your client. That's the whole process; there is nothing to sign up for.

Invoice questions, answered

Is this invoice generator really free?

Yes, completely. No signup, no trial period, no watermark on your document, and no limit on how many invoices you make.

Do I need to create an account?

No. There are no accounts at all. The generator opens and works straight away in your browser.

Where is my invoice data stored?

Your documents are not stored anywhere: the items, clients and prices you type stay in this browser tab, are never uploaded to a server, and are gone if you close the tab — so save your PDF first. The one optional exception is your own business details: if you tick "Save my business details", your business name, address and contact line are kept in this browser, on this device only, so they are filled in next time. They are never uploaded, and you can erase them any time with the "Clear saved details" button.

How do I save my invoice as a PDF?

Click Print / Save as PDF, then choose "Save as PDF" (or "Microsoft Print to PDF") as the printer in your browser's print dialog. The printed page contains only your invoice, without the website menus.

Can I add VAT or sales tax?

Yes. Type your tax rate in the Tax / VAT % field and it is calculated on the amount after any discount. You can also rename the label — for example "VAT" or "Sales Tax" — so it matches your country.

Which currencies can I use?

US dollars ($), British pounds (£) and euros (€). The currency you choose applies to every amount on the document.

Is this a legally valid invoice?

The generator includes the fields a normal invoice needs: seller and buyer details, invoice number, dates, itemised charges, tax and the total. Requirements differ by country and industry, so check your local rules — and for anything unusual, ask an accountant. This tool does not give accounting or legal advice.
